Paul G. Bateman lives in Surfside Beach, South Carolina. He is a formally trained artist and has studied at such schools as Virginia Commonwealth University, The Art Institute of Charleston and The Visual Arts Center in Portsmouth, Virginia.
He has graduated from Trident Technical University in Charleston, South Carolina with a degree in Massage Therapy specializing in sports therapy and he is an LMT.
Having traveled extensively Paul has had the unique opportunity to see the countless, beautiful ways our world can be viewed. Of all the places he has lived and visited he holds The South and particularly South Carolina close to his heart.
As an avid outdoorsman Paul is presented with the chance to see and photograph a wide variety of landscapes and wildlife. Paul feels that it is his duty as a lover of the outdoors and as an artist, to share the glorious things he see's everyday with those who could otherwise never see them.
Paul also has an extensive culinary background having worked in the food industry for over 20 years holding every position from Executive Chef to oyster shucker, waiter, bar manager and even grease trap cleaner. Each job as important to the next in the bigger picture of things. All these factors help create Paul's unique vision and outlook on the world and all the amazing things that there are to seen in this world. His hope is that his work can bring a different perspective into the lives of his viewers and help them truly see the beauty of our world.
